Thompson’s Ferry
The Thompson’s came to Coyote aboard The WHSS Glorious Destiny. Unimpressed with the WHU’s attempt’s to govern Liberty, and the poor living conditions of Shuttlefield, Clark Thompson and his family decided to leave town, and form a small settlement of their own.
They relocated to a small riverside ridge, on the boarder of New Florida. They started from scratch, with only one cabin, but soon several others’s joined them, for a better peaceful life.
Soon Thompson’s ferry had a small tightly knit community. They constructed a small raft like ferry, in order to hunt on the other side of the river, the west coast of Midland. Thompson was able to trade with those who travelled to the settlement, whishing to cross the river.
He helped Benjamin Harlan guide the Universalists across the river, and into Midland, and suggested to them that he was in contact with the original colonists…
