Across the Eastern Divide
Life was tough on Coyote. Ensuring the colony survived it’s first year took its toll on everyone.
But life was particular traumatic for the younger generation, experiencing their childhood on the mysterious Moon, and the harsh fact was that several children found themselves orphaned.
Wendy Gunther came aboard the Alabama with her father, who committed suicide before arriving on Coyote. Carlos Montero also lost his parents when a ferocious native creature attacked the camp.
This same fate fell on Chris Levin’s father. Eventually, the teenagers decided to do what all teenagers do when they feel alone and vulnerable in a world they don’t understand… they decided to run away from Liberty…
Building and constructing their own canoes, ad commandeering a supply of rations and a firearm, the young expedition set off on their journey to sail across the Eastern Divide, and ambitiously form their own settlement.
But Liberty was not all Wendy was running away from…
