The WHSS Glorious Destiny
The WHSS Glorious Destiny was the result of a ‘perfect’ political system, where everyone was equal and worked for the benefit of all.
It was how the government was able to spend millions creating not one, but a whole fleet of Destiny Class ships, which would give The Western Hemisphere Union a head start in the race to prevent human extinction. Earth’s resources were rapidly decreasing. The colonisation of Coyote was essential, and The Union were determined to control it.
The Glorious Destiny was constructed in lunar orbit, and launched on June 16th 2256. With an incredibly advanced engine, travelling at nearly 95% light speed, The Destiny only took forty eight years to reach Coyote, much faster than the Alabama, and subsequently arriving on Coyote only four years after it.
But with each ship carrying 1000 colonists, the already exhausted colony of Liberty was under threat by these new comers…
