Benjamin Harlan
Benjamin Harlan was a drifter, who came to Coyote on The WHSS Long Journey, the third Union Astronautica ship, from Earth. He had been on Coyote six months when The WHSS Magnificent Voyage, the fourth Union Astronautica ship arrived. Desperate for work, he was first in line for unpacking the shuttle’s cargo. Departing the ship was the mysterious Zoltan Shirow, the reverend of The Universal Church Of Transformation, and his followers.
It was then that he first witnessed two individuals who would change his life forever, and leave both physical and emotional scars with him for many years. Again seeking work, and charmed by the charismatic reverend, Ben volunteered to be the church’s guide. He was rewarded with job security, food, shelter, and friends, not to mention the chance to get closer to a young girl he has fallen for instantly. Although active in labour, while helping them to set up their camp, he was a passive member of the group. Ben was uncertain about the church, but accepted nonetheless. He was dubbed Benjamin The Unbeliever by Zoltan…
When it became apparent that there was no place for the church in Shuttlefield, Zoltan insisted on leading the church through uncharted territory, on a pilgrimage to Midland. Ben was a decent guide, while the group remained in New Florida, but he voiced his concerns over this new mission. Zoltan asked him to think about it, and after committing to a relationship with the enchanting Greer, the girl he has been so fascinated with since he came across the church, he decided to go with them to Midland…
But Benjamin the Unbeliever had right to doubt…
